<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conform printing lengths of individual patterns to each other in a variable printing machine using a plurality of printing units. <P>SOLUTION: The printing units 1a to 1d are driven by power sources made controllable individually as to revolutions. When the printing pattern B by the printing unit 1b deviates in the printing length from the printing pattern A by the printing unit 1a which is a reference, the peripheral velocity on the occasion of nipping on an impression cylinder for each revolution of a printing cylinder of that printing unit is regulated to be the velocity at which the printing length of the printing pattern by that printing unit becomes equal to the printing length of the printing pattern being the reference, while the power source is corrected for each one revolution so that the amount of the regulation is made±0 on the occasion of release from the nipping. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
