<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the recognition precision of parts by using a high-resolution camera, and to appropriately recognize the parts also for parts having the light reflection section of a lead, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: An optical path change member 26 made of a glass plate is provided between a sucking part and a camera 22 so that it can make frequent appearances. When the member 26 is retracted outside the optical path, the focusing position (focus position) of a part image coincides with an area sensor 22a, and the focusing position deviates from the area sensor 22a, when the member 26 is interposed in the optical path in an imaging unit 20. Then, when recognizing a part (the first class part) without any luster sections, the member 26 is retracted to the outside of the optical path, hence the part is imaged with the first image quality focused to the sucking part, the member 26 is interposed in the optical path when recognizing the part (the second class part) having luster sections, hence the part is imaged with the second image quality out of focus, and the part is recognized based on the images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
