<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate viewing an image by improving visibility of the image in reduced image display even if it is a small image. <P>SOLUTION: A thumbnail dividing section 112 reduces the image of a size larger than a predetermined size such as a panoramic image or a high-quality image into an image of the predetermined size, and divides the longitudinal direction into a plurality of thumbnails to generate divided thumbnails. A display unit 123 in a thumbnail display frame displays the thumbnails in a thumbnail display frame by referring to a link table 125. In this case, the divided thumbnails are displayed so that the adjacent divided thumbnails may be close with each other. When the divided thumbnails are selected, an original image display unit 121 displays an original image corresponding to the divided thumbnails previously determined.
