<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving an electrooptical device that improves visibility of a moving picture and suppresses the generation of a flicker. <P>SOLUTION: In the electrooptical device, a driving period from the supply of a scanning signal to a pixel circuit set composed of a plurality of pixel circuits to the supply of a next scanning signal, includes: a 1st subperoid wherein a data signal is supplied from a plurality of data lines; at least one 2nd subperiod wherein a plurality of electrooptical elements included in the pixel circuit set are set to luminance corresponding to the data signal; and a 3rd subperoid wherein the luminance of the plurality of electrooptical elements is set substantially to 0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
