<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch where a roller edge does not bite inner and outer rings even when a roller skews. <P>SOLUTION: In this clutch 20, an outer peripheral face 2 of the inner ring 1 and an inner peripheral face 5 of the outer ring 4 forming an engagement element accommodating space 6, have the shape to prevent the wedge engagement of an edge 7a with the inner ring 1 and the outer ring 4 when the roller 7 skews. For example, the inner peripheral face 5 of the outer ring 4 is shaped into the convex face projecting to an inner-diameter side at its central part 5a in its longitudinal cross-section in the axial direction, whereby the roller edge 7a is not wedge-engaged with the inner and outer rings 1, 4 even when the roller 7 skews, as both side parts 5b, 5c of the inner peripheral face 5 of the outer ring 4 to which the roller edge 7a is pressed are bowed to an outer-diameter side, and an intermediate part 7b of the roller 7 is linearly kept into contact with the inner ring 1 and the outer ring 4 to be wedge-engaged therewith. Whereby the concentration of high stress on a part bitten by the roller 7 can be prevented, and the generation of abnormal noise can be inhibited. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
