<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an FFS (fringe field switching) mode liquid crystal display device and to provide a method for fabricating the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device, a liquid crystal does not have directivity and a visual field angle is enhanced since an electrode forming a lateral electric field is constituted of a first rectangular electrode corresponding to a pixel region and a second electrode of a circular structure in a position overlapping with the first electrode and an aperture region between the first and the second electrodes has a circular structure. A numerical aperture can be enhanced by applying a pixel structure of a regular tetragonal shape, a region on which a black matrix is superposed is reduced, and when misalignment is generated in bonding substrates, difference in luminance generated for each product can be minimized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
