<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system in which the light emission condition for preparatory light emission before photographing is determined by considering the error of a detected object distance. <P>SOLUTION: The camera system is provided with a light emitting means for irradiating an object with light and constituted so as to perform preparatory light emission prior to main light emission for photographing and determine the light emission condition of the main light emission for photographing on the basis of the light emission result of the preparatory light emission. The system has: an imaging means for recording an object image taken by a photographing optical system; a distance detection means for detecting an object distance; an error amount output means for outputting the amount of error of the object distance detected by the distance detection means; and an operation means for determining the light emission condition of the preparatory light emission of the light emitting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
