<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizer using a photocatalyst which has a simple structure, can be obtained by an easy production, and exerts an excellent deodorizing effect without damaging a function of the photocatalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The deodorizer using the photocatalyst is equipped with a main body of the deodorizing section having a gel material the surface of which carries a photocatalyst and an irradiator having a light emitting diode which irradiates the main body of the deodorizing section. No particular restriction for the gel material is set so long as it is transparent and/or translucent and such examples are given as an isobutylene-maleic anhydride copolymer and a polyacrylate cross-linking agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
