<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display deletion device that enables efficient deletion of input characters on a portable terminal with a limited number of keys, and a computer control method and program therefor. <P>SOLUTION: When a clear key arranged in an operation part 12 is pressed to delete four characters in less than one second, an operation command part 24 creates a pop-up menu, which is displayed on a display part 10. The pop-up menu includes items of "Delete paragraph" for deleting the paragraph from which the characters have been deleted, "Delete sentence" for deleting the sentence from which the characters have been deleted, and "Delete line" for deleting the line from which the characters have been deleted, so that the user can select any for efficient deletion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
