<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a liquid crystal display panel and a liquid crystal display unit module which meet the SPWG standards through ODF steps and to solve a problem of a light leakage from the liquid crystal display unit module. <P>SOLUTION: A device includes a 1st substrate, a 2nd substrate, a sealant arranged between the 1st substrate and 2nd substrate, a liquid crystal layer arranged between the 1st substrate and 2nd substrate, and sealant, and a light shielding layer which is arranged on the surface of the 1st substrate which is not in contact with the liquid crystal layers. A manufacturing method therefor includes steps of: providing the 1st substrate, a step of providing the 2nd substrate; forming the sealant on the surface of the 1st substrate; forming a liquid crystal layer on the surface of the 1st substrate in the sealant, a step of sticking the 1st and 2nd substrates together, the sealant being irradiated with light; and forming the light shielding layer on the surface of the 1st substrate which is not in contact with the liquid crystal layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
