PROJECTOR, PROJECTING METHOD, AND PROJECTION PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an outer frame of a projected image to be simply formed in a proper rectangle shape even when a projected image includes distortion due to rotation.

SOLUTION: The projector includes: a projection system including a spatial optical modulation element (SOM) 36 for projecting an image in response to a received image signal and a projection lens 12; and a control section 39 for allowing a user to select either of rotation modification adjustment for rotating a projected image or trapezoidal modification adjustment for modifying the projected image to be rectangular by using a video adjustment menu and to apply the rotation modification adjustment or the trapezoidal modulation adjustment to a projected video image to modify the projected image in response to a modification instruction received from a key/indicator unit 45.
