<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus that automatically notifies a purchaser of the electronic apparatus, such as a cellular telephone, personal computer, television set, video recorder, DVD recorder, or other audiovisual equipment with a calendar function, of a warranty period of the electronic apparatus on a display screen before the warranty limit is reached. <P>SOLUTION: When a purchaser of the electronic apparatus enters the date of purchase and warranty period of the electronic apparatus upon the purchase, a program of a microcomputer of the electronic apparatus calculates a warranty limit date of the electronic apparatus from the entered data and current date data, and before the guarantee limit date is reached, automatically displays the warranty limit on a display device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
