PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silyl linker introducible efficiently into a solid phase carrier to be used for synthesizing a nucleic acid oligomer such as a DNA.

SOLUTION: The silyl linker for the solid phase synthesis of a nucleic acid is a compound of general formula(I):H-(R1)Si(R2)-(C6H4)-CONH-(A)-COOH ( wherein, R1 and R2 are each an alkyl or aryl; and (A) denotes a spacer site ) or its salt or ester.
