<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card connector having a shutter function with which at least two kinds of cards having different width can be guided to prescribed positions respectively with the number of parts fewer than conventional one, and with which erroneous insertion can be prevented as for a card with a width other than the prescribed one. <P>SOLUTION: In order to constitute the card connector having a connector housing 2 provided with a first insertion port 3a into which a first card 6a of a first cross-sectional shape is insertable, and a second insertion port 3b into which a second card 6b of different cross sectional shape is insertable, this is constituted to be posture-changeable between a close posture to close both the first insertion port 3a and the second insertion port 3b, and a selective open posture to make either one of both insertion ports 3a, 3b in an open state, and this is provided with a selector 8 to be energized into the close posture, and a selector posture decision means 9 to make the selector 8 in the close posture into the selective open posture in which the insertion port 3 corresponding to cross-section formation of the card 6 becomes to have the open state accompaning the insertion operation of the card 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
