<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing dolomite safe as a food raw material. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the dolomite comprises melting coral fossils through adding a proper quantity of hydrochloric acid, adjusting pH to ≤7 and adjusting volume through adding a proper quantity of magnesium chloride and water, adding a proper quantity of sodium carbonate to the solution, culturing the solution at least one day at 30-50°C, and washing and drying produced sediment. The dolomite contains ≥20 wt.% of calcium and ≥10 wt.% of magnesium, and has ≤2 ppm of arsenic and ≤20 ppm of a heavy metal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
