DECELERATION CONTROLLER FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deceleration controller for a vehicle for producing good feeling when gear shift is performed.

SOLUTION: The deceleration controller applies a braking force with a braking device 200 for generating a braking force in the vehicle when a shift is performed to a gear stage for relatively low speed of a transmission 10 of the vehicle. When it is determined to perform the shift, the shift from A to B is started after a lapse of a predetermined time T1. By delaying the shift starting timing by a predetermined time, generation of the removing feeling of torque at the shift time can be suppressed. The starting time of the shift is set so that the neutral state related to the engagement timing of an engagement element of the transmission when the shift is performed does not occur until the time (E) when the braking force starts to be generated by the braking device. The torque inputted into the transmission or engine torque 502 is increased with the time (E) when the neutral state related to the engagement timing of the engagement element of the transmission is generated.
