<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high efficiency photoelectric conversion element which can be manufactured at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: This photoelectric conversion element is provided with a first semiconductor layer 20 having first polarity, a second semiconductor layer 30 having second polarity different from the polarity of the first semiconductor layer 20, and a quantum well 10 formed between the first semiconductor layer 20 and the second semiconductor layer 30. Since the quantum well 10 is constituted of carbon as the main components it is possible to realize the photoelectric conversion element which can be manufactured at low cost, and which can be made satisfactory in the efficiency of photoelectric conversion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
