Disclosed is a lifesaving-float system. The system has an elongated float element (10), which extends from a first end (12) to a second end (16), a first belt section (34a) running from the first end (12), or adjoining said end of the float element (10), said first section having a coupling element located on the end facing away from the float element (10), and a second belt section (34b) running from the second end (12) of the float element (10) or adjoining said end, said second section having a mating coupling element located on the end facing away from the float element (10), such that the belt-section ends facing away from the float element (10) can be coupled to one another. In order to allow the lifesaving-float system to be carried on the person at all times, the float element (10) is inflatable. For this purpose, the float element encloses a chamber (K) which can be filled by means of a compressed-gas source. The float element (10) has two layers (20, 22) which are connected together by means of a continuous join (23), such that the continuous join (23) and the two inner regions (20a, 22a), surrounded by the continuous join (23), of the two layers (20, 22) enclose the chamber (K). To achieve the required mechanical stability, the float-element-side end of the first belt section (34a) and the float-element-side end of the second belt section (34b) are permanently connected by a third belt section (34c) that is different from the two layers (20, 22) of the float element (10). |
