<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure safety for elevator passengers by preventing an elevator car from stopping in the middle between floors caused by energy shortage. <P>SOLUTION: A control device for a hybrid drive type elevator is equipped with an accumulating device 41 to accumulate the energy generated when the car 14 is in the regenerative operation and supply the accumulated energy to the drive system of the car 14 at the time of power running, wherein the arrangement includes an energy capacity monitoring device 52 to calculate the energy capacity of the accumulating device 41 and a running direction inverting device 53 to judge lacking in the energy when the calculated energy capacity is below the specified capacity value and change the car traveling direction from the power running direction to the regenerating direction, whereby the car 14 is prevented from stopping in the middle between floors caused by energy shortage, which secures safety to the passengers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
