<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the therapeutic effects of a balloon catheter with a marker to be used for expanding a narrowed lesion of a cardiac blood vessel, etc., by using the marker, and to improve the usability of a "medicament releasing type stent" expected to become very popular in near future. <P>SOLUTION: The balloon catheter 1 has a balloon part 3 at the distal end of a slender flexible shaft part. At least two radiopaque markers M1 and M2 in the outer periphery of the shaft part 2. The markers M1 and M2 are band-shaped with a distance in-between, present inside the balloon part 3.
