METHOD AND DEVICE FOR WINDING MAGNETIC TAPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for winding a magnetic tape which can perform proper reading/writing in a drive device, and can prevent the shifting of the magnetic tape wound on a reel especially under a low temperature environment.

SOLUTION: This method comprises: a first winding step of winding a magnetic tape T by reducing its winding speed and increasing winding tension when the tip T1 of the magnetic tape T is wound on a hub H by a predetermined length; and a second winding step of winding the magnetic tape T by increasing its winding speed and reducing the winding tension.
