Previously known steering devices have the disadvantage of creating different wheel positions when the steering wheel is turned in one direction and the other by the same angle but at different speeds, having a negative influence on the steering behavior. The invention therefore relates to a generic steering device comprising a bypass (20) which circumvents the metering pump (7) and is provided with a flow control valve (23), the metering throttle for said flow control valve (23) being located within the main line (8). The inventive metering throttle is embodied as a spring-biased check valve which comprises a throttle (11) and opens in the direction of the steering cylinder (2) while the forces acting upon the spring of the spring-biased check valve (11) and the control spring (29) of the flow control valve (23) are effectively synchronized. |
