<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide whether to receive a hypothesis with high precision by using reliability(RSCM) based on the sum of ranks even in the case of any translation system other than statistical translation. <P>SOLUTION: A selection device 60 of the output hypothesis of machine translation is provided with: processing part 80 and a sort processing part 82 for receiving M best lists 52, 54 and 56 respectively outputted from a plurality of machine translation devices 70, 72 and 74, and for mixing them, and for performing the scoring of respective hypotheses according to a predetermined scoring method, and for preparing an N best list; a Crank calculating part 84 for calculating a score Crank by an RSCM in the N best list for each leading hypothesis of the M best list among hypotheses included in the prepared N best list; and a deciding part 86 for receiving the calculated score Crank when it is not less than a threshold, and for abandoning it in the other case. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
