<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for killing microorganisms and controlling biocontamination in water, particularly in a cooling water and in an aqueous system having a high chlorine demand water. <P>SOLUTION: This process for killing the microorganisms and controlling the biocontamination in the high chlorine demand water comprises gradually mixing an oxidant with ammonium bromide to make a mixture, which is added immediately thereafter to the aqueous system to be treated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
