<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document processor capable of performing compression processing of a document efficiently while suppressing deterioration of images. <P>SOLUTION: This document processor is a device for performing compression processing of the document as an object of processing comprising images and texts, detects portions of character pictures from at least a part of the images out of the document being an object of processing, performs first compression processing with respect to these detected character picture portions and the text portions, and performs second compression processing different from the first compression processing with respect to images other than the character pictures. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
