<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic musical instrument of stringed instrument type constituted in such a manner that tuning can be freely set and changed. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic musical stringed instrument has a tone generation instruction operator 11 for performing tone generation instruction, and a plurality of prescribed high tone assignment switches 10 arranged in accordance with the column of the operator 11. Dial type switches 5a to 5d function as the switches to discretely adjust the high tone of the respective columns of the high tone assignment switches 10.
