<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage use authority according to organizational document management rules by controlling and managing use authority for documents and permitting authenticated users free browse or edit depending on a level. <P>SOLUTION: A key management apparatus comprises an encryption key storage part 11 for associating and storing encrypted document identifiers and encrypted document encryption keys, an authority set storage part 13b for associating and storing the encrypted document identifiers and use rights, a user group determination part 18b for setting users' use rights, a use right issuance part 16 for, in response to a browsing request from an authorized user, referring to the encryption key storage part and authority set storage part and sending a corresponding use right and encrypted document encryption key to a terminal, and an encrypted information issuance part 17 for, in response to an edit request from an authorized user, referring to the encryption key storage part and authority set storage part, generating an identifier and encryption key of a corresponding new edited document to be encrypted, storing them in the encryption key storage part and authority set storage part and sending them to a terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
