<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent abuses of, e.g., a picture in a character and a logo mark that have been registered as trademarks or the like by performing printing (copying) with a copy-inhibited portion masked in copying paper publications such as books or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In this image forming apparatus, information on the presence and absence of the copy-inhibited portion in the book 1 and information on a specific pattern for inhibiting copying are stored in an IC tag (RFID or the like) 10 attached to the book 1. Then, the information stored in the IC tag 10 is read-in by a reader/writer provided in the image forming apparatus to determine whether there is the copy-inhibited portion in the book 1 or not. If there is the copy-inhibited portion in the book 1, a pattern matching process is performed between a copied picture and the specific pattern for inhibiting copying, then performing printing out with the portion masked that corresponds to the specific pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
