BODY STRUCTURE RESPONDING TO PEDESTRIAN PROTECTION OF VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body structure responding to pedestrian protection effectively reducing a head injury value (HIC value) to a pedestrian as much as possible.

SOLUTION: The vehicle body structure responding to pedestrian protection is provided with a deck garnish 3 arranged so as to close a lower part of a windshield glass 1 and a rear part of an engine hood 2; and a front deck extension 9 extending from a front deck 11 toward a front side of the body. The deck garnish 3 is formed by two members of a deck garnish lower 5 and a deck garnish upper 4. The lower part of the deck garnish lower 5 is bonded to a front part of the front deck extension 9 and the upper part of the deck garnish lower 5 has a bonding part bonded to the front part of the deck garnish upper 4 through a resin grip 7. The bonding part is removably constituted through a lock hole-like notch 14 formed on the upper part of the deck garnish lower 5 and penetrated through the resin grip 7 by load of a predetermined or higher from above.
