<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery state detecting device capable of constantly grasping the correct battery state while avoiding adverse effect on the operation of other on-vehicle instruments by the high rate discharge. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 23a generates the high rate discharge to a battery 13 by connecting a pseudo load in a high rate discharge circuit 25 to the battery 13, measures the terminal voltage and the discharge current during the high rate discharge by using a current sensor 15 and a voltage sensor 17, and detects the state of the battery 13 based on the measured terminal voltage and the measured discharge current. A vehicular side ECU 20 does not permit the high rate discharge when any one of actuators 30-32 is in operation. The CPU 23a prohibits the high rate discharge caused by connecting the pseudo load to the battery 13 when permission is not given. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
