<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein it is not possible to make driving support for guiding a vehicle along a route and driving control for avoiding an obstacle compatible in a conventional technology. <P>SOLUTION: A driving support system includes a detection unit for detecting lanes around a vehicle; a correction unit for correcting a route along which the vehicle is expected to drive, based on an obstacle on the route after the route along which the vehicle is expected to drive has been decided, based on the lanes detected by the detection unit; and a control unit for controlling the vehicle, on the basis of the positional relation between the route corrected by the correction unit and the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
