PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein, when the control is carried out as it is based on a current command value calculated from the torque of a steering wheel operation, the torque ripple is increased by quick turning of the steering wheel and by saturating the motor current at the time of operation to impart uncomfortable feeling on the steering wheel operation and generate abnormal sound. SOLUTION: The saturation of the motor current can be prevented even when the steering wheel is operated by quick turning by passing the current command value through the current limiter having the limit value determined by the constant output characteristic and angular velocity of the motor. The control device of the electric power steering device with the steering wheel operation having no uncomfortable feeling can be provided by controlling the torque ripple.
