The method involves feeding material mixture into a filter surface containing closed chamber (2). Hydrostatic pressure causing separation of liquid-phase is built in the chamber. The chamber is opened after separation to discharge filter cake. The surface with the cake is removed from the chamber. 80 to 90 percent of volume of the fed mixture is discharged as a filtrate, and remaining volume of mixture is removed and re-treated with pressure of up to 5 bar. The mixture is continuously fed during treatment with hydrostatic pressure, and further treatment takes place in a synchronized manner. An independent claim is also included for a device for solid-liquid separation of material mixtures and suspensions. |
