<p>1389663 Triazine terminated polyethers UNILEVER Ltd 16 March 1972 [18 March 1971] 7179/71 Heading C3R [Also in Division D1] Novel compounds of the formula wherein A denotes ethenoxy, propenoxy, 1,2- or 2,3-butenoxy or a combination thereof, V, W, Y and Z denote halogen, -OH, -NRR 1 or -OR 1 , provided that at least one of V, W, Y and Z denotes halogen and at least one also denotes -OR 1 or -NRR 1 , R denotes hydrogen or a C 12-30 linear or branched chain alkyl group, R 1 denotes a C 12-30 linear or branched chain alkyl group and n is 1 to 80, are prepared by reacting cyanuric halide with an appropriate alkylene or polyalkylene glycol or a derivative thereof to form an intermediate compound which is further reacted with appropriate amounts of alcohol R 1 OH, amine HNRR 1 or other conventional reactants. Alternatively the cyanuric bromide or chloride may be reacted first with the alcohol or amine reactant. Uses.-The above products may be used in aqueous or halohydrocarbon solution, dispersion or emulsion to impart a soft handle to textile materials.</p> |
