Melamine derivatives. Compounds of formula (I):- and their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts where R1 is a (emthyl)adamantyl, bicyclo(2,2,1)-heptyl or tert-alkyl group, R2 and R3 each are branched alkyl, cycloalkyl, (emthyl)bicyclo(2,2,1)heptyl or adamantyl groups when R4 and R5 are H and in addition R2 is n-alkyl or cycloalkyl when R4 and/or R5 are lower n-alkyl, sec-alkyl or H and R3 is as defined above, or, R2 and R4 and-or R3 and R5 together with the attached N atom form a polymethyleneimine ring. The compounds have activity against tuberculosis. The compounds may be prepared by building up the triazine ting, e.g. by condensation of tert-butyl cyanamide, by introducing the required substituents into cyanuric chloride, etc.
