<p>An aqueous polymer latex pref. natural rubber and/or SBR, contg. at least 0.5 wt.% ZnO and 0.05-5.0% ammonium phosphate (both w.r.t. polymer) is expanded, the resulting form is heated so as to solidify it, and finally dried. The ammonium phosphate acts as flame-retardant and gelling agent. Foamable mixtures have good storability. used in mfe. of various foamed slabs and moulding, carpet underlays.</p> |
