PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm capable of preventing liquid from leaking into a casing due to damage of the diaphragm.SOLUTION: A diaphragm pump has a pump chamber which expands and contracts in accordance with deformation of a diaphragm 3, and sucks and ejects liquid in accordance with expansion and contraction movement of the pump chamber. The diaphragm prepared by overlapping at least two sheets of first and second resin films 31, 32 is used as the diaphragm 3 and, therein, a pair of electrodes 35 are formed on a surface facing the first resin film 31, of two surfaces of the second resin film 32 arranged on the side which is not in contact with the liquid. Leakage of the liquid due to damage of the first resin film 31 is detected by the pair of electrodes 35 of the second resin film 32 and, thereby, ink can be prevented from leaking into a casing. |
