A frame structure comprising hollow members of polygonal cross-section, hollow members forming different frame portions being interconnected by means of spreadable coupling units comprising loosely assembled parts held in predetermined positions within said hollow members and adapted to be braced in at least two directions in pairs against the inside surfaces of said hollow members.
