5-Sulphamoylanthranilamides - with analgesic and antiinflammatory activity

Cpds. of formula (I) are new: (where R' is alkyl; R2 is H, halogen, CF3, alkyl, alkoxy; R3 is H, OH, alkyl; R4 is acyl (esp. -COR or -COOR where R=alkyl, alkenyl or aralkyl); A is 1,2- or 1,3-alkylene). Antiinflammatory, analgesic activity for human and veterinary use. (II) is used as a reactive deriv. e.g. the corresp. isatoic anhydride. Other processes claimed include reduction of corresp. 2-nitro cpd.; hydrolysis of 2-acylamino cpd.; introduction of R4 into corresp. unsubstd. cpd. or replacement of R4= COR by reaction with Hal.COOR. Adult dose is 15-350 mg/day orally.
