<p>Lawn edge cutter consists of a coil member placed exchangeably on the motor axis to serve as core for the cutting wire whose free end is led out between the two discs closing off the coil top and bottom. One disc has a rim of teeth, and the wire issues out between the teeth. The teeth face the rim of the second disc, with the disc spacing less than the wire thickness and the rim of this disc capable of axial distortion as far as the teeth location. The teeth are round or oval in section, thus avoiding sharp edges but providing total support for the cutting wire. For providing smooth surfaces the transition between the coil interior and teeth spacing may be rounded off in the radial sense.</p> |
