<p>1337858 Disinfectants comprising peroxy compounds HENKEL & CIE GmbH 28 May 1971 [29 May 1970 16 March 1971] 17735/71 Heading A5E A solid combination for use in the production of an aqueous disinfectant solution comprises an organic or inorganic peroxy compound which provides H 2 O 2 in water, and an N-acyl or O-acyl compound with from 2 to 9 carbon atoms in the acyl residue or a carbonic acid or pyrocarbonic acid ester as an activator for active oxygen, whose activator action determined according to the test method described amounts to at least 3 and the amount of active oxygen and activator being such that from 0.25 to 6 effective activator groups are present per active oxygen atom, while in the case of the N-acyl and O-acyl activators, each of these residues, and in the case of the carbonic acid and pyrocarbonic acid ester activators, the whole molecule, are to be regarded as the effective activator grouping. The aqueous compositions may be used to disinfect medical appliances and instruments. The active compound may be H 2 O 2 , addition products thereof with organic compounds such as urea or melamine; inorganic peroxyhydrates e.g. sodium perborate tetrahydrate and partly or completely dehydrated perborates to NaBO 2 . H 2 O 2 ; and peroxyhydrates of ortho-, pyro- or polyhposphates and carbonates. Complexforming substances, stabilizers, proteolytic enzymes stable to per-compounds and other conventional additives may also be present.</p> |
