Switching of lamps from a remote point involves using electromagnetic switches instead of solid state circuitry such as triacs. The control circuits can be contained in a standard switch housing and comprise a transformer and rectifier to provide a low voltage control supply. The operating button, or proximity switch, is used to actuate the reed relay via a delay element. The operating coil of the contactor is in series with the reed relay. The contactor is located at some convenient point, and may be controlled from several remote switching points. The air path provided by the open contactor adds to safety. Supply failure does not alter the state of the circuit.
|
