The shutter mechanism is designed for less expensive types of small camera. The aperture preselector is linked to a sliding and pivoting trigger element. This incorporates a guide curve which acts as a stop for the sliding shutter plates in the required position. It also has a series of steps which move selectively into the path of the shutter drive lever. In addition the trigger carries a catch which holds the shutter closing lever. The spring-loaded opening and closing drives are fitted with mechanical escapement delays. The slight displacement of the trigger by the shutter plate releases the closing mechanism.
