Endless conveyor from flat wires - has wires connecting bolts located in slots for varying their spacing distance

Endless conveyor with conveying surface formed by flat wires each preformed to include number of side by side longitudinally projecting U-shapes. Each longitudinal part of the U-shape has a slot through which is projecting lateral bolt connecting two adjoining wires. With the bolts located in longitudinal slots of the wires their relative spacing along the conveyor is variable. Along the edge of outer longitudinal parts of the wires each side of the conveyor is at least one row of intermediate straight links each locating two bolts in separate longitudinal slots. The slots in the flat wires and the intermediate links in which bolts are variably spaced are so dimensioned that in straight part of the conveyor the flat wires and in curved part of the conveyor the intermediate links are transferring greater part of driving force.
