Bis-chromonyloxyalkanes of formula (I): (where A is -CH2.CH.CH2-, -CH2.CO.CH2-, -CH2.CH2./.CH2.CH2-, -(CnH2n)-, -CH2.CH.CH2.O.CH2.CH.CH2-, -CH2.CH:CH.CH2-, -CH2.CH.CH2-; R is alkyl; n is 2,3,4 or 5) are useful for the treatment of bronchial asthma by oral adminstration.
