The parent patent describes an aerofoil section for a plane comprising moulded upper and lower walls of reinforced resin secured together at their leading edge by a rounded edging strip which itself forms the leading edge. According to the improvement each wall has a shoulder and an projecting tab at its leading edge, the tabs being glued together and being glued in a longitudinal slot in the edging strip. At the point where the aerofoil section is joined to another part of the plane a smoothing piece is secured in the joint. The method is specifically used for a tail-plane and fin. The smoothing piece reduces turbulence which may damage the plane structure.
