Novel thiazolcarboxamides of the formula WHEREIN R is selected from the group consisting of alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms and phenyl, R1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, n is a whole number from 2 to 5 and X and X1 are individually selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, trifluoromethyl and alkyl, alkoxy and alkylthio of 1 to 4 carbon atoms and their non-toxic, pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts having alpha -adrenolytic activity and their preparation.
