<p>The switch has a lower casing with water inlet and outlet. It contains a circular membrane between high and low pressure chambers, and controlling the water inlet valve. An intermediate casing and an upper casing grip a second membrane between its own high and low pressure chambers and which controls the gas burner valve. The bottom plate of the intermediate casing separates the low pressure chamber of one membrane from the high pressure chamber of the other and a passage in the bottom plate puts the two high pressure chambers into communication with each other. The passage has a throttling effect which delays the opening of the gas valve after the opening of the water valve but damps oscillations of the membranes.</p> |
