Battery driven wrist watch timing correction - by supply correction signals for adjusting frequency of electromechanical resonator

The watch has a quartz oscillator supplying pulses to the electromechanical convertor via a frequency divider circuit. A digital measuring device continuously provides the difference between the number of the converter frequency and a correct timing frequency, so that an output signal is provided from their phase difference, used to control the converter frequency so that the phase difference does not exceed a selected value. Pref. the measuring device is provided by a ring counter or a reversible counter receiving input pulses from the converter and the frequency reference.
