<p>A rotor has a rotor shaft composed of two discrete shaft sections the adjacent ends of which are connected by a sleeve guided in appropriate bores of the ends, so that the shaft sections are axially aligned but have freedom of limited axial relative displacement. Each shaft section carries a rotor end plate fixed to it and extending transversely of it, and a circumferential wall extends between and connects the end plates, surrounding the shaft. Another embodiment is also disclosed.</p> |
